Resonate Global Mission, a ministry of the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA), has a full-time opening for a Transformational Network Coordinator/Director in Nigeria, West Africa. The Transformational Network Coordinator / Daniel Center Director seeks to foster relationships and develop trust between the  leadership of partner churches, holistic mission networks and learning clusters that desire to engage youth, renew the church and transform communities in Nigeria, beginning in Abuja.  The Transformational Network Coordinator intentionally identifies, connects, equips and encourages Nigerian leadership as we grow together in our Christian world and life view, cultivating holistic ministry and impacting society.

Collaborate with grassroots leaders of indigenous organizations that desire to engage youth, renew the church, and transform communities in Nigeria, beginning in Abuja, such that the entire people of God together tell and incarnate the whole Gospel in all sectors of society.

Step #1
Missionary Candidate:  The purpose of this position is to prepare for international service by building a network of prayer, care and financial support in North America that will enable future ministry. Ordinarily, this will progress from part-time to full-time as the support network grows through the work of the candidate and the missionary support team that is designed for this purpose.  One can expect to be in this role for 6 to 12 months, depending on how quickly the support network comes together. 


Step #2
Missionary in Training: The purpose of this role is to develop language and culture skills, ministry skills and relationships that will enable future ministry, and begin to use those in ministry.  Ordinarily, one can expect to be in this role for 6 to 18 months, depending on prior background and experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following:

Service to Africa


  1. Gather indigenous leaders from different denominations and organizations,  and from all walks of life, to develop a vision of what the Good News of Jesus looks like here and now, and to discuss ways to work together effectively to make that vision a reality.
  2. Facilitate contextualized leadership development tools and processes to equip these leaders to become gospel-shaped agents of transformation of family, church, school, business, government, media, and more.
  3. Nurture mutual accountability and mentoring relationships with and among grassroots leaders.
  4. Develop and encourage indigenous participation in Christian/Muslim peace-building processes.
  5. Participate in African and global discussions on transformational networking.
  6. Identify ways that the CRCNA can learn from and contribute to the growing networks of grassroots leaders in Abuja and Nigeria, and develop channels for reciprocal learning and collaboration.
  7. Coordinate and develop the Daniel Center (DC) Leadership Team to nurture the vision of transformed communities and advise the DC staff in their planning and activities.
  8. Supervise DC staff, facilities and finances.


Service to North America

  1. Maintain regular correspondence with CRCNA churches, members and supporters about ministry activities, highlights and support opportunities.
  2. Raise financial support for the ministry of CRWM by developing and maintaining a network of supporting churches and individuals which will provide prayer, care and financial support for both the missionary and the ministry of the Daniel Center.
  3. Return to North America periodically for Home Service for face-to-face meetings with churches, schools and individuals, to report, educate, encourage, seek support, and become refreshed for further ministry on the field.

  1. Commitment to Christ and the mission of his church.
  2. Membership in a Christian Reformed congregation or a church in ecclesiastical fellowship with the CRC is required.
  3. Agreement with the Statement of Faith documents listed in the Covenant for Office Bearers for the CRC is required.
  4. Commitment to the constitution, bylaws and policies of CRWM.
  5. A deserved reputation for integrity, trust and spiritual maturity.
  6. Exposure to community transformation methodologies.
  7. Flexible, adaptable and a self-starter.
  8. Demonstrated intercultural competence.
  9. Quality administrative, organizational and technological skills.
  10. Effective oral and written communication skills to facilitate networking.
  11. Demonstrated ability to work well on teams and with people from a variety of perspectives (including theological, vocational and socio-economic).
  12. Proven capacity to be creative and innovative in complex situations without a pre-determined map or plan.
  13. Pastoral qualities and the ability to nurture, mentor and guide others.



Education and/or Experience

  1. Master’s degree in theology, intercultural studies or another related field.
  2. Minimum of three years of practical ministry experience.
